Season 2: A New Enemy and Family Ties

A month after the devastating fight, Mark struggles with the public's fear and his own trauma, terrified of becoming like his father. He throws himself into hero work to prove he's different, all while the Global Defense Agency (GDA) attempts to manage the resulting chaos, including rebuilding the Guardians of the Globe. A new multiversal villain, Angstrom Levy, emerges, intent on combining the memories of his infinite alternate selves to save the world, but his plan is corrupted by a confrontation with Mark. Angstrom blames Invincible for his monstrous disfigurement, setting him up as a dangerous recurring foe. Amidst his superhero duties, Mark reunites with his father on the distant planet Thraxa, where Nolan has established a new family and has had a son. This reunion is cut short when three Viltrumite soldiers arrive to punish Nolan for abandoning his duty. After a bloody battle, Nolan is captured and imprisoned by his people, and Mark is issued a horrifying ultimatum by the Viltrumite General Kregg: complete Nolan's mission to conquer Earth, or they will return and destroy it themselves. Mark returns home with his new half-brother, Oliver, further complicating his life.
