Season 1: The Betrayal

The first season introduces Mark Grayson as a seemingly normal teenager who finally develops superpowers at age seventeen, following in the footsteps of his father, Nolan Grayson, the world's greatest superhero, Omni-Man. Mark embraces his new identity as Invincible and begins training under his father while balancing his high school life and new relationship with his girlfriend, Amber. The season culminates in a massive, earth-shattering reveal: Nolan is not a benevolent protector, but an advance scout for the ruthless, intergalactic Viltrumite Empire, and his true mission is to conquer Earth. Omni-Man brutally murders the Guardians of the Globe to eliminate all potential resistance. The season ends with a horrific battle where Nolan tries to force Mark to join him, nearly killing him and devastating a major city before abandoning Earth, unable to bring himself to kill his son. Mark is left to pick up the pieces, reeling from his father's betrayal, his mother Debbie's trauma, and the responsibility of defending a world that now knows an invincible alien can turn against it.
